"I love design and want to help you."
Growing up the child of a fashion designer mother and entrepreneur father, Jane has always been surrounded by colour and understands the connection between colour and comfort. Jane was drawn to Interior Design studies at the University of Guelph, Sheridan College, and Ryerson Polytechnical Institute before graduating from The Art Institute of Toronto in Residential/Commercial Interior Décor.
Jane’s diverse background encompassing corporate training, retail management, and marketing give her an edge when it comes to honing in on creating livable, workable interiors for equally diverse clients and their needs.
An ardent aficionado of colour, Jane enjoys gently guiding clients towards implementing colour and different layout concepts into their environments. And while there’s no need to give up one’s beloved “greige” walls; an initial consultation with Jane finds people drawn to new colours in different places.
She is very interested in how the trinity of architecture, fashion and travel affects design over time. With the popularity of “ Downton Abbey”, Jane has noticed a resurgence in quality handcrafted furnishings and accent pieces. Utilizing 3Dream software she created 3D drawings for her client’s homes and furniture plans to give them a clear picture of all the possibilities.
Window treatments are another favourite because the perfect treatment on a window ties a room together, taking it from cold and empty to warm, elegant and inviting.
In addition to founding her first interior decorating company, Elettra Décor in 2009; Jane is an active member of the Canadian Decorators Association (CDECA) with her business Jane Campbell Designs.
